YES, GAFFER! is a detailed football management simulation built around one simple idea: taking a small fictional English club and seeing just how far you can carry it.

You begin at Blackthorn Rovers, a historic club playing at The Thornfield, with limited resources, an imperfect squad and plenty of expectations. From there, every season becomes part of your own managerial story. Fight for promotion, survive difficult years, discover young talent, negotiate transfers, manage personalities and eventually try to take Blackthorn all the way from the lower divisions to the Premier League and European football.

But YES, GAFFER! isn’t only about numbers and league tables.

Your career develops around the people at the club as well. Your relationship with veteran assistant manager Walter Campbell changes over time. He begins as a grumpy, demanding old-school coach who isn’t easily impressed, but years of success and trust can gradually change the way he treats you. Major milestones can also trigger cinematic story chapters, new characters, investment opportunities and events that follow your journey from an inexperienced manager to a Blackthorn legend.

Every decision feeds into a larger football world. Build your Starting XI, select roles, manage a nine-player bench, choose captains and set-piece takers, handle injuries and contracts, scout internationally, develop the academy, negotiate permanent transfers and loans, and keep an eye on finances, supporter confidence and the board.
